Awake again at 3:30 am. I fall asleep fine but can't sleep through the night.
I am exercising regularly, trying to step it up. Yesterday I did 7am exercise show from tv. At 8:30 AM I attended a Y class, first half hour working with weights, situp, pushups (OUCH). The second half hour was Zumba dance/cardio workout. I am planning to continue with 1-2 hours working out each day and see what kind of effect that has. There is a young parkinsons seminar in California next month. I have registered for the webcast to hopefully hear session on exercise as medicine and one on deep brain stimulation surgery. I may try to attend a seminar later this year. I take six sinemet per day, one every 2.5 to 3 hours. I do pretty well during the day but I always seem to have trouble in the evening where the meds are not effective. I believe my evening meal interferes with absorption. I eat lightly during the day.

February 16
This is more difficult to do than I expected...keeping a personal journal that may be read by others, although I can't imagine it will be of any interest except to someone with PD. I am getting my sleep straightened out somewhat. As long as I can set my own schedule, I can work around the insomnia. My last two Zumba classes went very well. The meds were working well, no tremor, no stiffness on the left side. I really enjoy physical activity when my meds are on. I almost feel like I can be rid of this annoying condition. When they are off, it is distressing and uncomfortable.
